TexasT Call the tech team at Advance Adapters or Novak conversions. They have all the parts you need and are an excellent source of info. I'm going to do the same when my 4.0 dies and I've decided to go with a LS engine. Looking at 6.0 vortec.

Engine swap

Ok so i have got the 1997 tj with just a 2.5l in it. I want a engine swap and thats why i got the 2000 dollar cheaper jeep because i was just gonna swap engines. I have a bunch of questions. Some have been answered by searching around the internet but i can never be to sure when dealing with engines. I have my labor set up so that is no factor.
My question is, what would be the best and easiest v8 to change out into a jeep? I have been looking at a dodge motor.
Next question, what parts do i need? Transmission? Brainbox? new transfer case?
And the last, Will i need heavier duty axels to put on this baby? i will put stronger axels on but what exactly is the miniumum i need?
