|eastcoasting32||I would play with the angles of the shot BEFORE your trip and see what angle you like the best. My suction cup mount has only fallen once but it was my fault, luckily tho the camera was inside the car getting a time lapse of a road trip. My personal favorite angles tho, are on the drivers door facing the road and you get to see the tire spinning then the road. You can trust that suction cup mount if mounted correctly, it won't go anywhere. GoPro has a solid staff and would always hook if something broke or failed on you.|

GoPro Mount positions on JK
I searched and it seems a lot of people have a GoPro or comparable camera but not much discussion on where to mount it. I'm going on a long trip from NY to cali and back so want to get a lot of good footage.
Where do you guys mount yours? Anyone have suction cup fail?
Where do you tether? I'm worried if it falls off and is hanging from tether it will scrape the paint.
3m Adhesive on bumper? Any do this? I heard the tape is super strong but again worried about it breaking. there are a lot of Gopro crash videos :\
By the time i get the cam I only have a few days before we leave so I don't have the time to test like I would so any advice would be great.
