|1BLKJP||Hmmmm, seems like it could be a synchro problem in the transmission. You should take it back to the GMC dealership where it's warrantied next time it happens as that should definitely be covered under any kind of drivetrain extended warranty. The lock might also be covered, I know most aftermarket warranties don't cover such items as trim pieces and things of that nature, but the lock is physically not functioning correctly so it might be covered also depending on the nature of the warranty you purchased.|

Hello all, i am new to this site because i just acquired a 99 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. I have a couple of questions. Just last week, i was driving on the highway and when i got into the city and came to a street light i would put the jeep in neutral. I then had problems putting it in 1st or 2nd gear. I had to put it in 5th then move it to first. This happened the entire day. When i got home i let the vehichle rest for a week and i tried to drive it the next day and i couldnt get it into any gear except for reverse. So yesterday i took it to the dealership and it never happened again. It was running just fine. Since the dealership didnt have transportation to take me home i said i will bring the jeep back. No problems on the way home except for my a/c stopped blowing cold air. Any ideas on what could be wrong. One last question, the passenger side key door lock seems to be missing a clip so the entire key hole comes out. Dealer wants to charge 90 bucks to fix. i told him to go f himself. Any helpful suggestions would be great. THanks, I bought the car from a GMC dealership and bought the extended warranty through them so if i get it fixed at the GMC shop it doesnt cost me anything as long as its covered under my warranty. If i take it to the jeep dealership i have to pay my deductible of 200.
