scott howard sounds like the pick up tube in the carb. bowl is not long enough and when you go up a hill it is sucking air.
pick up some fuel line in the right size and extend the fuel pick up in the carb. bowl

Help!!! engine trouble of some kind!!

So like the title says my jeep has engine trouble, everytime I go up a hill that has an incline and is longer than a hundred feet or so the jeep spurters and jumps and will eventually die if i don't get to some level ground. but once it is dead someone just has to crank it normally( pumping the gas pedal and turning the key) while someone stands over the carburetor and adjust the choke back and forth, it'll crank everytime after it goes dead like that. also it seems to happen more often and is worse the lower the gas level gets, idk if that matters but i need some help with this problem BAD! thanks in advance for all advice.
