Bestop does NOT make the factory hardtops.

We did make aftermarket hard tops until a few months ago, but we don't even do that anymore (but a great company has taken over the business - you can find them on our web site).

Grog Unfortunately for you, Wrangler sales are up considerably this year, and just about all the hard tops are going on the new vehicles. The demand is greater than the supply right now, and they are tough to get.

RUBI 4 MY MRS When I ordered mine for my '05 LJ a couple yrs. ago the local dealer told me it would take a few weeks. It would come from Colorado & that they basically waited they had enough orders then made & shipped them. I think that Bestop makes the factory top, don't they? Anyway, that the story I got. BTW, I'm now looking for a rear window air deflector. Any one know of anyone that makes one for the TJ or one that can be modified to fit? The one on my wife's 4Runner really helps keep the dust off the back window.

Lawngnome Probably seven days from receiving it, I would still try.

Peepers You could try going back and saying I was buying for winter, but seeing as winter will be over before it comes in im not going to need it. or something like that. Or their was another thread where they refused delivery of their jeep because they ordered the connectivity package and it didn't have it.

gukicker10 I just found my receipt from back in October. Apparently I paid $2600 for the top and wiring harness. However, it strictly says on the receipt that there will be no refunds or returns after 7 days. Guess I'm screwed.

I still can't fathom how something as simple as a top takes 6 months to be delivered. I really wish there was something more I could do to speed up the process.

The one I am looking at buying has the hard top installed and the soft top folded down inside. The only thing I will need to buy is half doors.

JKGirl I ordered my hardtop in July 2010 and didn't get it until October. Sounds like it's gotten worse.

Trunz150 you can deff cancel it, i had a friend order a fully loaded wrangler it they said 8 weeks and took almost 4 months and she canceld it and went somewhere else, that is insane to wait that long and pay that much for a hardtop deff try and canclel
01-19-2011 01:25 PM
gukicker10 It was actually like $1500 or so but unfortunately I had to pay for it in full at the time of order so I don't think I can cancel it now. So irritated!

Peepers Cancel the order and live with the soft top if it hasn't been too bad yet. Think of all the stuff you could do with that extra grand...

6 months for hard top to come in?

I was just wondering if anyone knows why or has had to deal with waiting 6 months for a hard top to come in?

I ordered a hard top for my 2009 4 door unlimited on October 1, 2010 from the parts department that I bought my jeep from. The expected date of arrival was January 13. Well, I called today to see if it was in and they said the new estimated time of arrival is now March 22. I can't believe how long it is taking! By the time it comes in I'll be ready for the soft-top again!
