Good times! I really liked Redbird. Didn't touch most of it due to the 4 lo issue, look forward to going back once it's fixed.

Ok, think me & the kids are going to head to Redbird tomorrow morning. Watched some videos on youtube & it looks like some nice trailing. Anyone else want to join? My wife tells me I need friends other than hers.
Supposed to be an awesome day! Wish my Supertop NX was here... but instead I will be sporting the hardtop.
No winch yet, so if nobodies up for it, I'll see if I can find some buddy to tag along with when I get there.

Haspin is a big time wash out right now with all this rain. It'd be all mud.
Redbird is a state owned ORV park but is nice and growing. It is also pretty strict on their rules and stuff but makes for some nice wheeling.
Try and make it out to the June event, it will be fairly nice for the youngin's!

Redbird is doing a night run and clean up this weekend. Badlands is more family friendly.
Haspin has a lot of drinking and no clear trails. You never know what's coming around the next corner/hill etc. Pretty dangerous especially, if you are going alone and you're not familiar with it.
We are going to the Badlands on the 7th and we'll have mostly stock Jeeps and some modded. You are more than welcome to join us.
Get a CB, recovery straps, cheap flag from meijers or walmart and we are happy to pull you out.

|mtu1293||yeah not sure how much fun it would be for you with a relative stock jeep since with all the rain, it will be a mud fest. Personally I wouldn't want to go solo just in case. And yes as you mentioned it is an interesting place since you can camp anywhere, and technically drink in the park. Worst case go check it out, and if you don't like it you are just out a few $. I don't mind the place, but back in the day I wheeled a DD fullsize, so it was nice to go someplace where it fit on the trail.|

Newb thinking about taking the kids to Haspin this weekend
After a 10 year seperation from a Jeep, I finally bought one again this past Saturday. 2003 Wrangler Sport. Some kind of Rough Country lift on it. Thinking 3-4 inches & some BFG mud terrains. Need to give them something to play with.
Anyway, my wife is heading to NC this weekend & I was thinking of taking my kids (4 & 6 years) to do some wheelin. Thought about Badlands or Redbird, but not looking forward to a 2 1/2 hour drive to both. I live just outside Rushville, so Haspin I hard to rule out. Anyone have any thoughts on taking a 4 & 6 year old down there? I've heard it's a drunk obnoxious redneck festival.
Also wondering if it's going to be a mess with all the rain we've gotten. I'm not a big mudder, just want to do some easy/moderate trail riding.
Anyone want to meet me & teach me a few things? Be cool if you had kids too. I don't have a winch yet, so the buddy system would be nice just in case.
Thanks! & look forward to talking to you guys & gals in the future! Going to ask the wife if she wants to do the Badlands get together in june.
