bluvikng It is harder to break the bead on a 8" rim, when aired down. Just make sure you have enough back spacing, on the rim, so your tires don't rub at full turn. Just adjust the air pressure, so that your tire sits flat against the road surface. Just because a tire says it can handle 35lbs. of air, does not mean that is what you need in them.

Scout A 12.5 will hold a bead better on a narrower wheel like a 15x8 when aired down. The tire companies are not concerned about that as they are more concerned about overall wear and on-road driveability of the tire. 12.5 on a 15x8 is perfect.

AzTJ Thats a recommendation by the manufacturer... they know nothing about real world usage.

Rim width vs. Tire Size

In all the many many many discussions about tire size vs rim width around here all I remember hearing is that for 33x12.50x15's, my existing 15x8" rims would be the ticket.

Yet most of the manufactuers are recommending 8.5 to 11 inch wide rims for 33x12.50x15's?

Any issues?
