|hookuspookus||who did the valve adjustment ? was it a high pressure pump ?did you let it pump up enuff ? start it and stop it a few times and see if it pumps up did you adjust the valves per spec ? did you spin the push rod while adjusting ? it should have a very slight drag on it , when you do get it to pump run it then re-adjust your valves . did you top dead zero the crank than set the valves that where supposed to be set at that position then turn the crank and adjust the other valves in order ? sounds like you didn't set the valves right and new lifters may take a few minutes to pump up . i don't have my book handy are the valves ajustable or are they valve train style ? i forget . how high is the pressure ? over 50 psi ?|

high oil presure but no oil top end help
Hi everyone I have a 2000 tj and I just got done rebuilding it by putting in a stoker kit. Now my 4.0 is a 4.6 but I have ran in to a problem i have now oil making it up to the top of the engine. I thought it was the new oil pump so I replaced it with another one. I primed the pump and watch oil come out of the rods but after starting the engine nothing, the oil pressure shows very high. Help please I am going crazy trying to figure this out.
