JamesHolmes Wow!!!! Pop your dipstick, if your head is blown you'd be getting coolant in the oil. you'll be able to see it on the dip stick. Man, I don't know. 2 gallons? Wow. How much do you drive it? Must be a lot. The way I see it, (I'm no expert) but if it is getting into the oil, you engine cant hold that much extra fluid and keep running. If you are burning it off, you might even have a crack in the block. The only other thing I can think of is maybe you could have a pinprick hole in a hose. These little buggers tend to only leak when the system is under pressure. if this is the case you could be spaying the ground while driving. maybe it hits the block and evaporates. I'd recommend you fill it up and run it in your driveway for 1/2 hour or so, pop the hood and look for little jets of coolant(be careful wear googles). Here's hoping it's an easy and cheap fix.

Antifreeze/coolant problem with 1997 jeep wrangler

I am having a problem with the anitfreeze in my jeep. It will need about 2 gallons a day, and there are no visible leaks. I can smell antifreeze, but can not see any. I want to know what I have to fix. Any help will be much appreciated, Thank You.
