I might be in Denver for a little while but I am just trying to get a job at a ski resort again. I worked at Beaver Creek a few years ago for one season then came back to Florida to finish college. I just graduated so I am looking to get back up in the mountains. Do you live out there?

But remember don't regear the D35 in it unless u do a super 35 kit and even then still way better off with another rear axle. Im still gonna go with keep looking

The two front tires will need replacing soon but the back two were added brand new about a month or so ago.
Front right turn signal is out.

Anything I should look out for in particular? Anything to check when inspecting the car? Anything I should try to notice when test driving? What can i expect to go wrong next/how much money might I have to sink into it relatively soon?

SirCanni Sounds like it's been beat to hell. Go find a stock one that hasn't been thrashed on and do the mods so you get to know your Jeep.

XJ Knight Being that it has been beaten up offroad to the point that it sounds like it has and being an 02 X, sounds like you might like lockers in the future and will be inclined to regear being heading to the rockies means inclines and grades that will not be good news for stock gearing on 33's or bigger. I sense a new rear axle in your future.. I recomend to keep on looking.. Your best to find a stock TJ/LJ and start from there, Ideally with a factory D44 rear.. Or buy something at 8k and take the other 4k or so and do a rear axle swap, lift, tires, regear, and at least the rear locker (if you were to go with a ecgs F8.8) all at once.

Welcome!

I'll yield to the opinions of others on the mods (you can always expect to get pretty good advice from knowledgeable people in here), but I will concur on the heater. I've never seen better heaters in any vehicles...ever!

jspeer1130 sounds like a good rig. don't worry about the soft top in the winter...the heater is enough to roast you out. the only time it can be annoying is if you don't have a garage to park it in overnight in the winter.
