|CJ7GoldenEagle||That system looks pretty sweet, except I don't like how it automatically sets itself every time you shut the Jeep off. I wouldn't want to have to use that magnet thing EVERY time I start it up.|

|Neil F.||The ADE circuit is what you want to disable. A "Loud" Twist On The Kill Switch Mod - JeepForum.com If you do not want all the bells and whistles, just read the directions for the wire you need to cut and install a simple switch in the location of your choice. If you do not feel like doing the wiring, Quadratec sell a kit to interface with the ADE.|

Ours is a momentary on switch on the starter solenoid circuit, it's an auto, so no worries about push starting it if the ignition works. The wiring is hidden in the harness, so it not obvious, like if it was at the solenoid or at the ignition switch.
And it's in a spot you'll probably never ever guess. And I can hit it as I start the jeep and it looks perfectly normal as to what I'm doing otherwise, as I turn the key.

if you have a device to lock your hood so that people can not get under it there's several variations of a device called the battery brain....some which come with a remote fob for your keychain...
The Battery Brain
Hit the button as you walk away and your battery is disconnected.

Simple bypass switch to ignition or starter solenoid works well.
The trick is hiding the switch where bad guys won't look.
Under/in the dash, in the glove box, or controlled by something like turn signal lever or such are so common those are the first places they look at.
And place the switch where it looks like you are doing something natural when you activate or deactivate it. If someone is watching, last thing you want is to give em a heads up as to where to look for the switch.
I'll give you a tip. Think about what you do when you get in your jeep to start it.
Then start looking for places/ways to do a switch.
Or make it so obvious, they will tend to ignore it. Like a winch power switch. It can be rigged to not only power the winch circuit, but also the the connection for the starter solenoid. Flip the power on, start the jeep, flip the switch off.
3 way switch marked for lamps. But only marked on/off. Even if they are dumb enough to hit the switch and fire up a bunch of off road lamps, which they won't as it attracts attention, they most likely won't notice the switch will flip backwards, to a third position and let you start the jeep.
