anthpg ok thanks any idea where i can get a low mile 2.5 mine blew up lost one and two through the oil pan

4bangercrawler No and no, sorry!! Transmission bolt pattern is different, they make adapters but i dont believe that transmission will hold up to a 4.0. And you will have to swap the ecm and wiring harness, but it is doable!!

2.5l swap to 4.0 in a 2000 wranler

i have a 2000 wrangler with a 2.5L manual 5 speed and i want to put a 4.0L in the jeep will everything match up and will the trans in the 4 cyl. work with the 6 cyl.
