roadtrippin?

hey all, im goin to be takin a road trip up to vermont, about a 7 hour trip. I know to do the usual, check fluids, tire pressure, brake, etc. My concern is heat. How are these I6's for the long haul? I got 35" tires and at least 4.56 gears (unkown what it came with it). Also how are those big tires for long highway use, ive noticed a tad bit of warmth to them after a long highway ride
