Rear Door Help

Here is how it turned out. I like it, looks clean and neat. I used 3/8" Rubber plugs.

yoopone The door I bought was weird. I bought it on eBay and you could order it painted. Door looked good and bolted on fine. Good fit and finish. The problem was evey bolt hole except for the hinge bolts was the wrong size. The original bolts would not screw in. So for the inside latch cover I redrilled and tapped those holes and it was able to use the original bolts. for the outside bumper and tire carrier holes I began to retap one without first drilling out the hole a little. Being lazy. Of course I snapped the tap off in the hole so that is another reason I want to just plug the holes.

Wesboy Can't help you with rubber plugs, I reinstalled the bolts (which held on the OEM tire carrier and rubber bumps) to block the holes

Rear Door Help

So I have installed a new rear tailgate door and installed a bumper with it's own tire carrier. I did not reinstall the OEM tire carrier onto the door for obvious reasons plus I do not intend to install the rubber bumpers. I was looking for some rubber plugs to stick in the bolt holes to not only make the tailgate look better but to stop water from leaking in those open holes. Has anyone done something like that and would you know the size of the plug you used?
