Well thats just cheap as heck aint it? Really doubt not painting the rest of the rollbar would have saved them much.

I noticed that when I started talking it off. My cage is two different colors, black and white.

The padding is just as hard as metal bars. Well sorry to disappoint, but i guess i will keep it on.

They are meant to protect your mellon from hitting the steel bar. I would re-think going without it. Also if you do take it off have a can of paint handy. The last 2 03+ jeeps that I have helped take the padding off did not have the roll bar completely painted.

kg4kpg My '00 has the narrow padding. The thicker stuff does look cool though.

roll bar padding

Hey everyone!,
What year did TJ's start using the really big looking roll bar padding? I'm thinking 03 and newer? Rubicons only? I have a 97 TJ and i would like that style in black. Anybody have a set for sale?
