|TheTJRod||Definitely go with 4.56 gears. Your smart going with an LSD as a full locker with speed and 33+ tires will kill a d35 fast. That price sounds about right too, upper side but still right.|

|mata_marcos||i have a 5" lift 33" mudders, sye,. just looking for better low end power + actually having a 5th gear on highway. what do u think i got a friend who said he'll do the work i just need to get the gears now. and maybe limited slip rear too. i dont hit the trails extremely hard but like to trail ride a little and love speed what do u think. sound like a good setup? im want selectable lockers but not in my budget right now so ill beat my d35 till it dies or i have the cash to step up to my 8.8 or 9 and sell the d35 with LS sounds good what r ur opinons|

Going from a 3.55 gear ratio to a 4.10 gear ratio isn't going to really do much for you. Gears all cost roughly the same, so go with a slightly steeper gear (4.56) if you're wanting more practicality out of your Jeep. I'm assuming you've lifted it or plan on lifting it and adding larger tires?

|Irongrave||350 per axle is not bad for labor. you might be able to save a little on the gears if you buy them your self and the install kit but thats right around the cost. I would honestly head down to the nearest junk yard and pull a set of axle from a 4 banger YJ. though if your going to regear go to 4:56. 4:10s are pointless to spend money on if you already have 3:55s|

Need to know if im being takin
I have a yj with 3:55 gears and want to trade to 4:10 I was just quoted two days to do this work. 700.00 dollars worth of labor because he knows what he is doin I have a d-35 rear and d-30 front. Plus 450 to 480 for the gears am I being jipped?
