444 There's an offenhauser and a clifford brand 4bbl on the market. If you do a search on ebay for a 4.2 intake or 258 intake you will probably stumble onto one. I'm not sure but I think summit may still sell them new but not sure.

brent in az Only prob is I don't think Jeep ever made a 4BBL intake manifold for a 6 cylinder. But I'm sure there is one on the aftermarket.

n2trucking awesome thank you. what kind or where could i find a 4bbl intake manifold for the stroker with the 4.0 head? Did a certain kind of jeep model have a 4bbl intake that would fit a 4.0 head?

brent in az I've done this on a Jeep J10 and 444 is all correct. If you sunk this much into it so far you might as well make the manifold 4 barrel, too if one's available.

444 Yes, with a little bit of modding you can put a 4.2 carb intake onto a 4.0 head or vice versa. From what I've read you basically end up having to open up one or two of the bolt holes into an oval.

I would find a 4bbl intake/carb if you're doing a stroker and/or a 4.0 head because the stock 2bbl 4.2 intake looks like it flows so terribly, and limits you to a 2bbl carb.

Carbed Stroker engine??

Can i use a carb on a stroker engine? My 1990 4.2 engine is dead so i wanted to get the stroker but i read up on it and it says it's a injected engine but want to know if i can use a carb on it. I don't feel like messing with getting 4.0 wireing to make this engine work so some info would be great. Thank you
