NT2HLBLY I have owned many 4 cyl Jeeps.... 55 is sometimes hard to get with a head wind. You can't own one and ever be in a hurry.

aj_40_9 If you're running stock wheels and tiers you should be able to get a little more speed but not much. I'm pretty new to the jeep scene myself and my experience has brought me to the conclusion that 5th is a thought and 60-65 is a luxury brought in part by a good tail wind and a downward slant. Enjoy!

Need help with my 97 wrangler 4 cylinder

I recently bought a 4 cylinder 1997 jeep wrangler se.
On the way home i realized it was very slow at accelerating. 0-60 was almost 2 minutes and i topped out at just under 65 mph. About an hour down the road the front right brake caliper locked up. It is being repaired now but i was wondering if it was only going 65 because the caliper was sticking or that is just the top speed. Or if it was a problem someone else had and they tryed something and it increased the speed or acceleration of the vehicle.
