|Tyewilly||If the crank is worn and causing the seal to leak, you can get a speedi-sleeve and fix it. I've used them before with good results. They are very thin stainless steel sleeves that go over the worn shaft and give the seal a smooth surface to ride on.|

|Redrider94||Thought my 2.4 had rear main leaking, got a inspection mirror and found it was the valve cover gasket leaking in the rear where I couldn't see without the mirror, just a thought.|

You must be mistaken, Jeeps never leak oil, they are just marking their territory....
Oh, isint there a oil galley plug back there between the engine and flywheel that can leak?

|RLaFitte||I live with an oil leak myself, although it doesn't actually leak out. I think it burns it due to wear. I add a quart of oil every couple of weeks and I'm good to go.|

Throwing in towel on oil leak
95, 4.0, 199970mi, 12mpg, oil pressure around 40 idle and maybe 60 at speed.
Rear main seal, oil pan gasket, oil pump, ccv, oil sending unit, valve cover gasket.
Today i used the UV dye and it actually is pretty damn neat! About $6-8 from parts store and used my halloween black light. If you're concerned about an oil leak get this stuff and all the oil glows like a CSI crime scene. I was surprised that more oil didnt show up. It looks like its coming from between the bellhousing and bellhousing cover, and im not taking it out to check SO..................I have come to the conclusion that the crank is just worn and its going to leak. Not at idle, only after driving and its about a 2" diameter spot after its parked.
