RE-Xpert The RE super-flex kit is a very nice set up although I think it is a bit more costly than a zone or the OME. For the cost effective I would get rolling with an OME and upgrade parts in the future.

Ando88 I did a 2 inch dealer installed suspension lift ("Just For Jeeps") when I bought my new 2011 Rubi. I like it, everything feels and rides nice and tight, no wandering or wobbling. The suspension isdefinitely stiffer than stock, but not overly so. On my previous Jeep TJ, I went with an OME kit. A little pricier than most, but worth it.

thejafe FYI Rubicon Express parts are available once more from places like 4WD.com and 4wheelparts.com.

For a very complete setup look at the 4.5" Super-Flex kit and sub in the 3.5" springs . Very popular setup before RE went on hiatus.

Jon M Look at the vendor AOR in this forum. Allen from AOR has Zone kits on sale and will steer you in the correct direction. I started wanton a spring lift and after a while of deliberation decided on a 2" spacer lift with quick discos. Check them out. Tell him what you want to do with it and he'll tell you what you need.

TJDrillSergeant that will allow you to run 32's or 33's depending on how much clearance you want

TJDrillSergeant in my opinion if thats all you want to do is light off roading and some mudding get coil spacers and some decent tires. tires will make more of a difference offroading than the lift. this is my jeep on 31" super swampers. ive made to through mud on rutted out trsils better than jeeps with 35 A/T's. im putting 2 1/4" spacers this week. thats plenty for what i do.

MrGriffin has anyone had any issues with when they installed their lift that the jeep sits lower to the left rear... i have a 4inch lift and after i installed it my rear sits lower on the left side... ive tried to swap coils from left to right and still no diff...

Another vote for the 2" BDS SL. I prefer BDS over OME, from both a ride and budget perspective .

About the front track bar - DO NOT INSTALL AN ADJUSTABLE FRONT TRACK BAR, unless you do your homework.

No aftermarket track bar shares the same bend as the stock bar, therefore they create inference issues. You need to set your bumpstop extensions appropriately in order to avoid interference - otherwise you end up bashing the track bar into the diff cover - which will damage the mount, the track bar and the diff cover.




There is nothing wrong with drilling a new hole in the stock mount for 3" of lift or less. But, you will need to weld on some reinforcement to the front side of the mount.


If you don't reinforce the mount, this can happen.

get-RUBI-wet BDS is where it's at brother... Life time warranty to the original owner...mines up 61/2in and feels like stock still...its good stuff

BDS 2" is around 400.00. Do a search on BDS and you will not find anything bad about it.

I would suggest an adjustable front trac-bar. I don't like re-drilling the factory mount on the axle but it can be done.
I achieved over 3 1/2"s of lift from the Zone kit and looked goofy to me with 31s. Once I put 33s on, I immediately developed drive line vibrations even with the t-case drop. The angle on the rear driveshaft was just too steep for my TJ. Yours might not even have the first vibe, some get them and some don't, it's a Jeep mystery. I didn't want to drop the case any lower so I bought and installed a SYE/CV driveshaft. Vibes are cured and the t-case is back up on the frame so I gained that ground clearance back. The SYE is not the hardest kit to install but a few special tools are required, so is an entire weekend if you've never done one before.
I had a 98 TJ 4cyl. with both 32x11.50s and then 33x9.50s and with the stock 4.10 gears, I had no problem. Some may laugh but with a header, high flow cat and catback exhaust, it had ample power and yes, 5th gear was still very much useable. 33x12.50s are more drag and you would likely want to re-gear
The Zone 3" kit is a value for the $, I just thought I'd share my experience with what I had to do after the lift.

KidRock171 Again I don't have it so no first hand exp but your basic socket set and torx collection should do ya just fine. Pb blaster a large crowbar/ratchet strap to get the springs in. Do an alignment afterwards.

Snookmo Yea the more I look the more I think I'm gonna do the zone 3" but idk about the bl. It's my daily driver and it's just a 4 cylinder. You think it could handle the 33's?

KidRock171 The RC Is a quick fix. It's just as capable as any other spring and shock you buy. But it rides really harsh and you have to buy other components like bumpstops sway bar links track bar bracket which makes it just as expensive as any other lift. If I were you I'd do the zone 3" and a 1" body lift and slap 33" tires under that bad boy with new control arms and a tummy tuck. You could do just about any trail out there with that set up and still be a stable road vehicle.

Snookmo I plan on doing some offroading but probably not extreme rocks n stuff. I have had mine up to the headlights in a mini pond already tho lol I wanna know that "if" I decide to do some trails that I'll feel confident I can make it through some hairy situations
