|goatman||Run a large plate cooler without the factory cooler. Unless the factory cooler is a plate style, but that is doubtful. A Chrysler built trans needs all the cooling it can get at all times.|

There is NO IN-RADIATOR cooler-the JK/JKU jeep doesn't use the radiator-
Google "JK/JKU aux cooler" and that'll give you a bunch of ideas !!

Stacked plate (not tube-and-fin) trans cooler in the 20,000lb GVWR (or bigger) should help immensely. Mount it to something solid, though, not to the radiator with those plastic push-clamp things.
Opinions differ on whether to run this in place of the in-radiator cooler, or to run it w/ the in-radiator cooler (and then the question becomes whether to run it before or after the radiator cooler...). In my experience with the Scan-Gauge on a couple vehicles, running the cooler direct without using the in-radiator cooler, is that running direct keeps the trans temps the most even - 150-160*, year-round - using stacked plate coolers in the 26k GVWR range on compact pick-ups and TJs.

I just bought mt first jeep wrangler 2 mths ago. Well today was the first day I took her out. I didn't push her hard withered just wanted to see how she would handle the sand. Well after 20 minutes my hot oil light came on say I let her sit for a few. After 5 min I just headed home. Does anyone know the best kind of transmission cooler to get for this jeep. 2011 wrangler unlimited rubicon.
