1BLKJP Welcome aboard Saint. My weapon of choice is also a 99. Only think I will say to watch for is the exhaust manifold leaking. For about 10 years ending in 99 Jeep was using an inferior design for the manifolds on their 4.0L engines. They eventually crack. Otherwise it's a very mechanically sound vehicle.

Hello all,

I just recently bought a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, bone stock and what seems like the base model. (No A/C, cruise, 2 speed wiper) I've always wanted a Wrangler and I finally got one. I don't really have a plan for her yet; she's currently my daily driver. My experience in the automotive world comes from working on a busted up 1990 Mustang GT; hence why I need a daily driver. I don't know too much about the Wrangler, only that it's by far one of the coolest vehicles I've driven. Is there anything I should be watching out for, i.e. common problems, not so common but devastating problems and what have you? Any and all advice is welcome. Like I've always said, trust those with experience.

~Saint
