any way to fix both issues ?

(sorta related, what's the little cylinder tank under the passenger seat for ?

jeff316 Both of mine quit doing anything all they do when i pull the strap or push the lever up is recline forward. Everything looks fine on the bottom and trust me ive tried helping it lol, ever since i took the seats out to coat my interior they havent been working normal.

snowman555 yea my 99" se does the same thing, just how it is.
The passenger side when i tumble it back all i need to do is slide it back and its back in the original position.

rjpark36 Sounds like the seats are acting exactly as they should, or at least how my '99 Sport always has. The 'cylinder' under my passenger seat is the stock jack used to change tires. A picture would be beneficial to make sure I am speaking about the same thing you have.
