NEO Jeep I will tell you about one thing aftermarket tint is good for besides sun protection.

Holding the glass together if one of the side windows fracture.

A few years ago the wife was driving on a freeway after dark, and a truck dropped a rock or a piece of gravel that bounced up and hit the drivers side window.

It immediately shattered and started to blow back into the SUV.
The tint film would have held it together.

That was the last vehicle I have owned without window tint.

oilwell1415 25% is illegal too many places for them to do it at the factory.

Raziel Yea, that's what it says. I take it the sunscreen windows are the ones on the hardtop side? But, the windshield & front windows don't even seem like they have a light tint. Maybe I should look at them from the outside.

Could at least went 25% on the windshield & front windows. Blah! I even ask about the wranglers coming with all 3 skid plates. They said nothing about that. Mi build sheet only said 2. Sad things...

SRPs 2012 Purchased a 2011. virtually no tint on windshield or front wondows, but that is expected. In VA, almost not worth tinting windows anyway. Very light compared to FL.

oilwell1415 The windshield and side windows are tinted, but it isn't very dark. They want them to be legal in all 50 states as delivered, so those are barely tinted at all.

Deep tint

Those who got a new wrangler (2011) or at least now the answer. When you get the hardtop, it says deep tinted glass. Now, the hard top has tinted glass. But it also says for the windshield & front windows. My front windows & windshield isn't. Just the glass on the hardtop. Anyone have this issue as well?

I sent chrysler for my build sheet & it says it should have it & I told them I didn't see that on my car. Told me to contact the dealer. Guess I'm going to have another trip back there yet again... blah...
