I totally agree with ya, I have the Full Traction kit as well, and I have been able to go places that some cannot with bigger tires and lockers.
Very happy with the Full Traction kit.
As you already know Nick.

well.. my check came in today =D going to cash it tomorrow.. except i think i got to wait a week for it to clear =/.. man all this waiting sucks.. i hate dealing with stupid banks..
going to a tire dealer to get my tires tomorrow too..
probably gonna call up dpgoffroad instead of going through northridge4x4..
dpg offers the same products at the same price.. i got my rims from there.. and had them at my door 3 days later.. also bought a few things from mr c here and there.. dpg hasnt dissappointed me yet
list of things im gonna price looks like:
jks bar pin eliminators
jks shock conversions
the RE monotube shocks
extended brake lines
swar bar disconnect cables
should come out to about 110 more than i originally thought bc i added the jks bar pins elims and the shock conversions

maybe when i go to upgrade.. ill swap out for FT coils..
the only way id get a ft kit is if i had enough money to order all new control arms to max out my flex..
i hope you enjoy your lift.. bc you definately have a nice looking jeep.. your jeep is the reason i wanted the FT lift in the first place =X just decided its not best for me now..

|nregas1||FWIW, I just wheeled my 3" FT for the first time on some pretty agressive (4 out of 5 trail ratings) trails and it performed flawlessly. Great flex! No problems out of any part of the lift. I was totally pumped after tackling trails with ease that others had to be winched up - best part, I have no lockers and they did. Then drove it home on a 2hr hwy trip without giving it a second thought.|

|mrbigjeep||i've heard good about both...haven't heard any bad about the M-force and its a bit newer.|

which shocks would be better..
the RE monotube or FT M-force?

i decided to go with this list..
acos coil spacers.. will provide me with 1.25-4'' of lift ( on top of my 2'' coils)
rear trac bar mount
re 4.5-7.5'' shocks
for now i decided ill keep the acos set at 2-2.5'' which will give me around 4'' total.. i can adjust this lift until my vibrations go away ( if it still occurs after the tc drop)
the longer shocks will be an upgrade and i can keep them when i go to bigger coils..
the front and rear trackbars can wait because i really want to get some jks ones..
i like the adjustable jks stuff.. im running their discos and rear endlinks (i bought the ones for 4'' of lift already.. so i can keep them when i upgrade)
this will let me keep my old lift.. and improve on the ride.. and ill spend 715 total..
i got a 2000 limit for what im doing before christmas.. and 650 is going towards tires.. and i was wanting to get my tube fenders ordered asap =D
my goal for my finalized lift:
6-7'' la (not sure)
acos set at 2.5-3''
im wanting to run 36 iroks on fully locked d44s
and maybe end up stroking the engine my senior year in college

ill have to do it before summer time if i plan on getting a la upgrade and acos spacers
i just cant justify spending 2800 on the same lift that i can build in a process and save 600 on the way.. although already lifting my jeep soo quickly is a waste of money =X.. this time ill be able to add to my existing lift.. as where ive already maxxed out my current lifts potential..
and the shocks.. i hope the mforce ones are good.. i really want to get some fox racing shocks one day.. but ill need to get longer ones next summer anyways

3" FT sounds good. the RE usually nets more than 3.5" and the 3" FT defintely has the possibility of saving you from havin to use a sye/cv driveshaft...that would save some coin...yeah i didn't care about ride at first either...but i fixed that...
btw, the shocks are the main thing that determines ride
|10-21-2007 11:10 PM|
true.. but the 2'' and the 1'' only comes together for a little over 2'' of lift.. in fact i dont think the 1'' spacers really even did much..
plus by the time i add a front track bar, rear trackbar relocation mount, and a tc drop.. ill have atleast 350 spent..
also not just height issues.. im searching for a better riding lift too.. something that at first i didnt care about.. but im wanting now
im still debating tho.. gonna order the kit either tomorrow or tuesday.. so my mind could still change..
the RE 3.5 kit comes with O.M.E. shocks for $828 shipped.. but with the extra 100 that it cost, it doesnt come with the front trackbar..
so thats why im leaning towards the FT lift kit.. that and i'd less likely need a sye with it

your sig says 2" lift 1" BB and 1.25" JKS BL...that = 4.25
full traction 3" plus 1.25" = 4.25" (without spacers)
|10-21-2007 06:54 PM|
no right now i have a 2'' lift.. with the 1 '' bb i got around 2.5'' of lift..
the reason i wanted to go re is the bolt on long arm upgrade.. i plan on getting it towards the end of the summer next summer (my summer job i make 800-900 a week)
the reason i settled on the 3'' lift is because ill be keeping the springs for the la lift.. i want to purchase the jks acos spacers to give me the extra amount of lift that i'll need.. just installing them will give me 4.25'' of lift minimum and a maximum of 6.25''.. ill be adjusting them to give me around 5'' of lift.. plus ill have the bl and by then ill have full tube fenders.. (im ordering the front ones when i order my lift/tires) i been waiting on a check for about 2 months now.. ive had to fill out a crap ton of paperwork in order to sell 2 grand of stock in order to get my tires/new lift/ and tube fenders (being a full time college student and parents not allowing me to work really sucks, but id rather concentrate on school than work all the time, although i just picked up about 25 hours a week cleaning windows at the local mall, except the hours being from 11 pm - 3 am
another reason im steering toward the FT lift instead of the RE is the front adjustable trackbar.. the RE kit is more expensive and comes with less parts.. might as well get the kit with the front trackbar that i'll end up needing..
im going bigger now for the fact that i was told this week by my gma that she'll help buy my tires for christmas, and my parents might get my jeep rhino-lined for me.. which is gonna save me a lot of money that i can put on a new lift
the kit i got now i just dont like.. i settled for it because it was the best 2'' lift i could find.. and at the time i just wanted the extra lift for my 31s..
|10-21-2007 01:06 PM|
your worrying too much about lift height...it would look fine with the RE lift...but the FT doesn't sound like a bad choice either (but the bug will come to go higher so i suggest spending the money once wisely)
isn't this gonna be the same amount of lift you have now (without the spacers)?
|10-21-2007 03:16 AM|
|MoA||yep.. $722 for the kit|
|10-21-2007 03:00 AM|
|AzTJ||that should be it... where are you getting it from? Northridge4x4?|
|10-21-2007 02:23 AM|
decided on the FT 3'' instead of the RE 3.5'' for the mere fact that i got a 1.25'' bl on it and im only wanting 33s for now..
im getting the kit with M-Force shocks..
anything else ill need for this kit?
