question about 7th speaker

Hey everyone. I have a bit of a dilemma. I purchased my jeep used about 1 year ago and didn't realize it had the 7 speaker stereo system in it. I knew it had much better bass response then other jeeps I test drove, but I never thought about it much.

I recently upgraded the stereo in the jeep to something I can have my iPod hooked up to...which is nice, but I lost my good bass! I now found the subwoofer in the jeep (can't believe I missed it for this long), and looking on the back of the original stereo, i can see there were two wire adapters plugged into the back. I assume the sub was plugged into the second one which is why it isn't hooked up anymore.

Anyone have recommendations on how to get the sub hooked up again? I wanted to avoid buying an amp if possible since this was supposed to be a fairly inexpensive upgrade. I was thinking of just figuring out which wires the sub was and connect it to one of the rear speaker outputs, but then I only get one channel which isn't ideal either.

Thanks for any advice!
