I have a bunch of issues with the top on my jeep too (its a bestop top, factory style, sail cloth) and my back window is most of my trouble. I cant be much help with yours as Ive been quoted the same or more for similar work at shops.
You did how ever teach me something. I was wondering why ppl always talked about rolling up their back window and how this was done when I ONLY HAVE ONE DAMN ZIPPER! I knew it was supposed to have 2. lol.

|PaulRevere1991||your looking at replacing the zipper so its going to be more, the $30 quote was the ziper becoming unstitched from the top and them just stitching it back on, i had the same thing done to my top on my yj to last year.|

|rudeboy||i do want to try silicone spray since i believe the one side will in fact open, the other side however is "open" for about half an inch, and below that sits the piece that slides/zips totally what i thought corroded, but another dude who has a boat and gave me the address of the first company i contacted and he said it looks like they glued it or something.... looks odd. ergo, if i can in fact open it all the way i will still get stuck on the pother side i think.|

|Old Grunt||Mine has the same problem. Won't fully unzip on the rear. Try this FWIW. Zip it up 100% and then put some silicone spray lube on the entire zipper assembly on both sides, inside and out. Give it about 10 minutes to fully soak in and then slowly work it open. The silicone, or the gun lube BREAKFREE CLP, works pretty well up here in Maine, given the winter weather we have. Any other type lube, like graphite or any waxxing lubes just freeze's solid in the cold. Hope this helps. BTW, that Jeep rocks !!!!|

|littlethimble||Check with anyone that might make boat canvas covers as well, they should be able to fix it.|
|08-12-2011 04:38 PM|
|Strez13||ya that does seem really high, like i said mine was 30 or 35 tops, but that was only one window. If your getting all three done then I could see 110.|

@TheDirtyGeneral; hmz, roadtrip to Florida
just called a place that was recommended by an acquantance and they quoted me anywhere from $110 to $160. seeing as somebody said $30 this is kind of high. most likely will have to call some more places...

|TheDirtyGeneral||A lot of people go to places that do tops for boats... theres a bunch of those around me lol|

X2 on checking local convertible type places ---may also check tent places or something similar.

|rudeboy||o, yours are unzipped at all times ?|
|08-11-2011 11:44 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||I have my zippers permanently places at the top corners because mine is ripped many places and no longer zips. it appears I have a rampage replacement top.|
|08-11-2011 11:42 PM|
I would gladly pay $30.. reason I want it fixed is because it's dark green that goes with the rest of this Jeep "Willy Edition".

|Strez13||I had a problem with one of my side windows on my soft top, the first inch or so what ripped. I found a local car upholstery shop that had a guy that works on convertibles. Took it to him and got it fixed for like 30 bucks ( put a whole new zipper on the window) I thought the price was a little high but I wanted it done right. It works perfectly now. I would just find a shop in the yellow pages and give them a call|

|zamfield||You might be better off just buying some Bestop tinted ones... Used ones come up all the time, here & eBay.|

rear window + top issue :(
so after i got home we decided to put the top down (first time since i got it).. almost immediately we had an "issue", the zipper of the rear window on one side will not move, at all. the other one looks really corroded and totally stuck plus it's ripped, about half an inch. (will take a photo..) i know, can't believe we did not pay attention to that, regardless are there places that fix stuff like this for reasonable price ?
not complaining by the way, would most likely have bought it anyway.. too gorgeous not to
