Jma20a never go by the max power level of a speaker or amp! go by the rms rating, this is the rating given by the manufacture. max power is the highest level of power it can handle for a one second "blurp". you also have to take into account the ohms of the speaker and the amp.

to best help you out i need to know the rms rating of your speakers, the ohms(independence), and your budget.

what size amp?

I hooked up a 10" sub in th jeep today with a 250w amp. Easy job, sounds good. Now I want an amp for the 6x9's. They are bazooka marine grade speakers with 300w max handling. What size amp should I run with them? Any certain spec i need to look for. I have never amped a 6x9 before. Thanks!
