Jerry Bransford If you can park in a quiet area, listen for the fuel pump when you first turn the key on. It will run for 1-2 seconds then shut off every time you turn the ignition key to the On position.

If it's not running, check the fuse. If the fuse is ok, check (I would unseat/reseat it) the fuel pump's connection which can be accessed from the driver's side front of the tank area without dropping the tank.

Fuel system troubles

Hey guys. I have a 2003 Rubicon with a fuel system issue. A couple days ago I was on the road, bought gas on the way home, then parked overnight. Yesterday I got in it to go to work and it would crank, but not start. My fuel needle was at zero, but I know there is gas! At first I suspected fuel theft, but I ruled that out (I shook the jeep and can hear the gas sloshing around). I tried replacing the relay with no luck. Is there anything else I can try before spending hundreds of dollars and an afternoon dropping my fuel tank? I'd appriciate any help! Thanks!
