2012 Rubicon Unlimited - Hood Scratchs

This is a continuation from another post with an image of the hood scratch from the wiper blades for TJe0454, yes, there are actually two scratches (one on each side) but just one image came out. See original post: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f115/20...on-113576.html

Again, this was entirely my fault, however, it really is a very easy mistake to make. If anyone from Jeep's design team follows the Wrangler forum, please consider putting end caps on the wiper blades!

I spoke with a body guy. He said it was in the clear coat and could be removed, however, he said the clear was primarily a UV protector for the paint, not just to make it shiny. Thinning the clear to remove the scratch could cause the hood to fade unevenly. He recommended black wax, and fix it at some point when the hood needs to be repainted.

I'll now see if I can find some kind of end caps for the blades to prevent further damage in the future.
