ok, I will research more.
It was just a thought I had while re-building my rear brakes and replacing the parking brake cables.

|00tj2||That's what I thought irongrave... Is the braking system similar to the line locks on 1/4 mile cars to stop the roll?|

|Irongrave||look up cutting brakes. its been done and a lot better then your idea. only really practical with a t-case that allows the axles to be engaged independently. this allows the rig to do a front or rear dig and make very tight turns on the trail.|

|00tj2||What would be the point of it... Also you could probably install brake line locks( for the front anyway) from the 1/4 mile crowd easier than your idea....I have seen jeeps spin around with I think what you are talking about but they also have twin sticks so they can go to front wheel drive only...|

interesting brake idea
has anyone ever thought about, looked into, or done this?
I am thinking about running separate cables to the rear e-brakes so I can have independent braking on the rear.. then I thought about taking it one step further, what if I relocate a disk e-brake to the front wheels and have 4- way independent braking?
You could use dune buggy brake levers on top of the normal parking brake lever so you wouldn't have to lose the functionality of it.
just a thought, wondered if anyone else had similar ideas or has actually built something like it.
let me know what you think
