TJe0454 for 16 bucks, its worth a try. versus $100-140. brake pads arent in the same category at all.

DevilDogDoc I wouldn't trade out bad steering gear for junkyard steering gear. Trade bad for potentially worse? Might wanna grab some brake pads while your out there too!

DevilDogDoc Correct that's why I did the ZJ swap mine was getting sloppy so I did it all at once. Ran about $140 from rockauto.

Outer Tie Rod Passenger Side Question, Need HELP!

I recently had some vibrations once I hit 45mph. Took to SEARS to get rotation and balance taken care of before trouble shooting. SEARS tech says I need an Outer Tie End ROd for the right/passenger side. Went to the auto part store and and they can do the part for $100.00 vice the $250.00 from SEARS. Anyways I took some pictures of what is wrong. basically when jacked up, you can wiggle the tire from side to side w.about 1/4inch play on it. Do I need to replace the entire tie rod end or looking a little closer is the part just a ball joint that I can replace. I have a JSM and Haynes but cannot distinguish on what it is. The guy at the auto parts store says I need to replace the whole thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
