mud707 What caused it to overheat in the first place, belt break, low fluid? My wife's cheoreke broke the serpintine belt and she drove it as far as she could. Ended up having to replace the oil pump, head gasket and some other crap.

Ticking after overheating help

Greetings all!
Well my sisters 2000 wrangler sahara overheated and now the engine ticks really loud and shut offs at a stop. She unfortunately drove it for about 10minutes or so after the needle was past normal temp, her excuse, "i was so close to home so i didn't think anything bad could happen" lol

So what could be causing these problems? Thanks in Advance
