LIL_red_JEEP yeah, 3.75" backspacing is fine on a 7" or 8" wide wheel. I'm looking at getting some new wheels myself (for larger tires).

Bluesman The easiest way to measure backspace is to lay the wheel face down onto the ground so the backside of the wheel is facing up. Take a straight edge and lay it diagonally across the inboard flange of the wheel. Take a tape measure and measure the distance from where the straight edge contacts the inboard flange to the hub mounting pad of the wheel.
If I remember right my after steelies are 3.75,as are most of them.

backspacing

ok, i got my wheels and i don't think that an aftermarket steelie would have the same backspacing as the stock wheel but i just wanna make sure cuz i want it to fit and was wondering if there is any way to measure the backspacing on a wheel...thanks
