JCS05Rubi Ya, I really like the lightforce because you can go pencil to driving without changing anything other than a knob, and you can also get the yellow filters for snow, or dispertian filters for wind angle.

With that said, those HID Eagle Eyes are REAL temping, especially at 220 bucks for HIDs! anyone on here run the HID Eagle Eyes?

Hackle Try this site and the Eagle Eyes work great I have them on mine. Personaly I would go with the driving lights. I have the spots and wish I had the driving lights.
BTW this is also a board sponsor.

Darton Ok here's what you do. If your planning on adding two sets of lights, one set on the bumper and the other on windshield mounts do this. Add a set of KC 100w super white halogen driving lights to the bumper. They will offer you basicly an extra set of headlights. They'll light up your general area so you can see what is within headlight range. Then add a set of KC 130w long range super white halogen lights to your windshield mounts. These will offer just like they say a long range spot light effect. They will light up the area farther out than your headlights will reach and having them elevated over the hood of your jeep will add extra light over your headlights as they shine past. So you'll have great lighting in your immediate driving area and light to see things that are farther out on the trail to plan your route. Work for everyone else out there????

They're the first and second sets of lights here:

sgnellett I'll be interested to see what some other people have to say on this topic, I've been thinking about upgrading the lighting on my Jeep, but also on my DD, so I'll be real interested in anything anyone has done that doesn't involve another set of 6" lights like the current fogs...

Driving or spot lights

I am looking at buying some offroad lights sometime after xmas. I keep seeing most lights sold as either a spot or a driving light, you have to pick. Whats the difference? It gets dark quick in MD, and I am often driving/wheeling at night in the mountains of WV and roads of MD for a few hours at night. I want something that will turn the road/trail into daylight. I don't need a 3 inch beam that will go for 400 yards, but something that will turn the road into daylight for a reasonable amount of space, and not glare off the hood tooo bad. I am thinking about putting them on windshield mounts, and maybe adding 2 more on the bumper later on down the road.

So far I have been considering the IPF 968s, Lightforce 170s, and KC 130watt or 150 watt. I already have KC 55watt replacement fogs, so I think I may go with these, but the IPFs will compliment my headlights, and the lightforces have filters... hmm.. Ill make the desicion later, but which style lighting is best?
