Texapple As is always the case - it's personal preference.
My Jeep has a soft top & full steel doors.
I bought soft uppers/lowers off ebay for $200.
I wanted them for the summer. They are noisy, better not mind zipping and unzipping to open the window, piece of cake to take off & much lighter , gives about 3-4 more inches between my hip and the door panel, they are easy to store, offer no protection in a collision.........what else do you want to know???

BTW: yes, I like them....for what I bought 'em for!

Leaving the Doors on..

In the Spring, when I install the Rag Top, I'll be forced into leaving the solid doors in place, unless the weather is great, right?

I guess what I'm asking is, I think my Rag Top didn't come with Soft Doors, made from the same material, but I'm seeing "soft doors" on some setups.

Do ya'll recommend the Soft Doors? Are they expensive? Upside/downside to using "Soft Doors?"
