Oldguy Unless you're into antique four-bangers don't worry about the engine unless you're planning a full restoration. There are specialized "blue books" out there that will give you ballpark values for old vehicles. Google something like cj2 value. If it is in restorable shape and that's your thing I'd grab it even if a little high. Rigs like that do not come along every day. My own dream is a CJ5 that no one has messed with and isn't a pile of rust...

Might have a chance at a 47 cj2a, talked to the guy last night he said decent shape but it has had a toyota motor in it,what would a good price be?I think he might trade me for a 2000 polaris trailblazer quad.
