As long as they are in good shape and not scratched to death, visibility is fine. There are ways of polishing the plastic windows to remove small scratches and haze and improve visibility. Because they are not perfectly smooth and flat, you may get an occasional reflection in areas of the window at times.

|mraybrake||My sister ALWYAS complained about not seeing out of the Jeep, and getting honked at a lot when merging on the highway, etc. (i got a whole 5 min lecture on it). The jeep is mine now (i'm 16, she's 27). I have tinted windows, spend a nice amount of time on the highway. Haven't had ANY (knock on wood!) problems! Just make sure your mirrors are set right and you'll be fine.|

I don't care for the tinted version with my 07. Always had clear in the past.
I don't know if you have a choice.
Also I've always just tossed my windows in the back. Did not really take good care of them
Ended up replacing every few years

|bengalsfan||Thanks, I'm sticking with the half doors!|

I have an '07 JKU with 1/2 doors as well. Even at 4 years old, I still have good visibility out my plastic windows. I let my daughter drive mine. Just some precautions you/she needs to take to keep them looking good.
Note: Some of my thoughts are just common sense and I'm not trying to insult your intelligence.

|teknoid||No problem at all with visibility, as long as they're reasonably clean and cared for. I can see as well out of mine as I can out of the wife's car and my work van. I wouldn't want the full doors now.|

Soft top window visibility
I just ordered a 2012 soft top with half doors and am concerned about the visibility of the plastic windows. I have a 15 y/o daughter that will be getting her license soon and am concerned about her seeing oncoming traffic from the side. Do the soft top windows have a clear view? I still have time to change to full doors, but really want the half doors for the summer months..... although the safety of my daughter would out weigh the coolness of the half doors. Thanks for any info.
