|1999TJWrangler||I replaced the fan switch & the blower motor resistor on mine, at the same time. Haven't had any more problems so far.|

I am going to try and replace the blower motor and see if this is the problem. I was told to wire in a relay and/or replace the blower motor fuse with a lower amp circuit breaker. I think I will try and fix the problem and not cover it up.
Thank you for the input.

Other then three faulty switches in a row, you may be wise to do a little more checking for another problem that's causing the switches to fry.
Corrosion in the wires, motor starting to go south, could easily cause excessive resistance and overheat the switch. Like said, you run on 3rd speed most of the time, so it would be more prone to showing the fault. But just as easily, if something else is the actual cause of the problem, you could see the same results if you ran the blower on 1/2/4 all the time.

|Badass_TJ||Are you buying the switch from the same place every time? maybe try another place. I just replaced mine with one from Quadratec and it been working good so far.|

Heater Blower Motor Switch
We have an 01 TJ with A/C and our heater motor fan speed switch went out on the third position again today. This is the third time in a year we have replaced this switch. If you wiggle the knob you can get it to work intermittently but it won’t stay on but a few seconds. Ok I know you can all tell that it is on the third position most of the time but this is getting a little frustrating. Does anyone out there know if there is a heavy duty switch made for the TJ? Or even a good brand name one that might last a little longer?
