whitebuffalo 4 low and first itd skid before itd crank over the engine. turn your wheels all the way one direction before you get out also. i do that even with a working parking brake and manual trans on the ramp in my truck. ive seen parking brakes slip and a brand new truck go glub glub before.

might throw some wheel chocks in the back too just for good measure (depending on how paranoid you are.

boat ramp, no e-brake

Im gonna start towing my boat with my jeep now, The problem is when i did the 8.8 swap, i did not buy the conversion kit for the e-brake to mount to the ford axle. So i have no e-brake. the only problem would be taking the boat out of the water, cause i need to leave the jeep by itself as i load the boat on the trailer and alot of weight would be applied to pull the jeep back towards the water. I was thinking of using 4low and first gear it and turing the engine off. Do you think the weight of the boat can turn the engine over as its in gear and roll the jeep in into the water? The boat is a 20 foot aqausport with a 150 merc. thanks
