Scoob Or just get a set of Rancho 9000's. When it needs to be stiff, you make it that way. When you want a soft ride dial them down.

debruins no you dont want a stiff ride, you want a nice ride ina jeep, a stiff ride means that you may need a mouth gaurd to protect your teeth. jeeps ride awful to begin with and if its a stiff ride it will be unbearable, also off road you want as much flex as possible and stiff shocks dont really help that out as far as i know

New question - Quality of ride VS Trial riding?

I've been looking at a small suspension lift, somewhere around 2-2.5 with the coils and shocks together in a kit. One of the kits I found had the Pro Comp ES3000 shocks. I read someone posted in the TJ forum that those shocks ride very stiff. Now most of my cars before the Jeep were performance cars, where a stiff ride is what you want for cornering and racing. But, isn't a stiff ride also good for when your trailin'? Or should it be a smooth ride for both? This is my daily driver. I'll trail, pull, and camp, but not rock climb. I'm just wondering what you look for when you do both?
