Longarm7 Speaking as someone who grew up in Tinley Park and moved south, you have to know someone. All the hunters out of chicago have bought up every inch of land south of I 80. Unless you know someone with property you are looking at a 5-6 hr drive to southern IL.

Camping in IL

Hey guys/gals. Planning ahead to springtime. Wondering where you guys like to do some camping?! I'm talking "real" camping. Like deep woods gotta drive through some mess to get to. Not just go park in a lot somewhere. Do these places even exist? Got a few buddies that wanna get out and away on some weekends and research on the Internet has come up somewhat short. We are starting to think ya just gotta know some people who own some land. Located south suburbs of Chicago. Distance isn't too much of a factor but don't need a ridiculously far drive.
