crafty You might have the start of blow by. Your jeep is a 91 and that isn't unusual with high mileage.

Crowldawg You may have a bad PCV valve .Take it out and shake it .if it rattles its OK .

yj4x4 if you have and expensive air filter you have to oil it every time you clean it. I have a K&N air filter and i have special oil for it. If its engine oil then i have no idea how it got there

Does anybody have an idea as to why I would have oil on my air filter?
