|Jerry Bransford||P.S. The correct Valvoline ATF for a Chrysler automatic transmission is simply called ATF+4 which is a full synthetic... http://www.valvoline.com/pages/produ...asp?product=63|

The TC is happy with literally any good quality ATF, it's not fussy at all. The Jeep 4spd automatic is happy with any good quality ATF+4.
According to http://www.valvoline.com/products/Maxlife%20ATF.pdf Valvoline Maxlife is DEFINITELY NOT the right ATF for your Jeep transmission and your Valvoline guy is wrong. Maxlife is a Mercon/Dexron type ATF which is totally not suitable for Chrysler/Jeep transmissions. Unless Valvoline Maxlife has another version I'm not aware of that is an ATF+4, I wouldn't use it.

an ex girlfriend works at valvoline germany. i think i should tell her to give me some gear oil for free.
is it true that valvoline maxlife ATF is the right oil for the TC and the 4spd auto tranny? the valvoline lubricant advisor says that...

|Jerry Bransford||Like your axles, the ARBs are not all that fussy about their gear lube viscosity. 75W-90 is as good as any choice but 70W-80 is fine too. If you tow, something like a 80W-120 is good. They're truly not fussy. Just use a good quality GL-5 (no additives are needed) gear lube, the viscosity is not all that critical within reason. Lower numbers for colder weather, higher numbers for hot climates or towing.|
