You have to find out what transmission you have. Once you have that information, look up NOVAK JEEP CONVERSIONS web site. They have a ton of information and can help you with your questions. I am not sure what you are asking in your last post.

|Todd Penn||My jeep is a 2006 TJ. Would that matter any? And if I put a 4.0 in it around that year ?|

There is a lot of work to swap in a six cylinder where a four cylinder was. First, the transmission has to be swapped out with bell housing and clutch. The transfer case has to be modified with its input shaft to match up to the new transmission. Then the driveshafts have to be modified. Your shifting linkage needs to be modified also. There are more things but these are the basics.
If you are interested, check out my signature below and look at my rebuild. It goes into a V6 swap I did, but it is pretty much the same you will have to do... except for some specifics for your engine.

Switch a 4cyl to a 6cyl
Is it hard to switch 4cyl to a 6cyl. Does the transmission line up the same? Motor mounts? Etc... What all do I have to do.
