|yj1993jeep||Haha, nice, might have to do the same with my cat, see what happens. But first I am going to see if this "guaranteed to pass" stuff works. The hard part about using this stuff is that I have to burn a whole tank of gas before I can take it in - I guess a road trip is in my near future. Let me know what happens though.|

yj nox problem
I had the exact same issue and I just solved it today. All my numbers were normal except for Nox. I did a complete tune up and changed the oil. still failed. I did a carbon. cleaning with seafoam and changed air filter-failed. I checked again and again for vacuum leaks and found none. I made sure all my vacuum hoses were not clogged. I checked All my sensors. I Replaced my O2 sensor.- failed. I checked my timing and I even tried different emissions stations.finally I bit the bullet and bought a Cat. I then buried the cat up to its neck in the yard and ran over it with the Lawn mower. Now I feel much better.
-then I decided to install a new Catalytic converter from Advance
I cut the old one out and to my surprise there was NOTHING in it.
I will be testing again tomorrow, but I am perty sure its gonna pass. I will update as soon as i get results.

I bought a 93 Jeep Wrangler and it was registering 4.9 on the NoX levels with emission. I has to be under 4.0 to pass. I took my Jeep to American Five Star Transmission on Apache Blvd, Tempe. I spent over $700 on a new distributor cap, new exhaust manifold, spark plugs, etc. I felt I got rip'ed off just by paying that, but the guy told me it would pass emissions if I got the work done. I went ahead and did it, and now it's registering over 6.0 on the NoX level. First think wanted to do was tell people in Arizona to not deal with American Five Star Transmission, but I also wanted to see if anyone had some advice for me? I've went ahead and bought "Guaranteed to Pass" from autozone and I am hoping that will work.
