kik If the vehicle security light is staying on there could be a problem with the electronics with that system. It shouldn't damage anything but your vehicle may not be disabled if there is an unauthorized entry. It should be checked. Maybe the other key is causing it somehow. The dealer should take care of it for you since they were involved initially. I'm sure they'll charge you. I don't understand why you would have needed "new" keys after only a few years to begin with.

Flashing lights?

NO this isn't a request for a kanye west song ha I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone else has this problem.

I believe it my be an issue with the key but anyhow, there is a small circular light above the temp gauge on my 07 jk that just recently came one when I used a different key. Is this something I should worry about?

It's wasn't overheating so it's not that. I checked the manual and found nothing regarding it. I had new keys machined by thedealer awhile back after my jeep would shut off after starting it. I have been using the same one for years now and still have one left over that I only use for locking and unlocking the jeep. It's not keyless entry either.

The jeep still runs as well. Any ideas?
