2010 soft top recall

I have pin holes in my 2010 soft top. Took it in for the recall and they will only replace the top (not the side or back windows). Has anyone had this done? Does it look ridiculous with a new top and 3+ year old windows? Also, I was also not sure if the new top is the same quality as the one it came with. I saw some posts stating that the newer ones are thinner and not as nice. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

tpfilm1994 Noticed the pin holes in the 2nd new top the other day. Think I might see if my dealer can "accidentally" order a set of half doors & uppers instead of the top.

tpfilm1994 Had to have top replaced twice on my '11JKU that I got new in August. First time was because the fabric had pulled away from the screws on the 2nd bow. Second top was because of pin holes lined up neatly in a row and evenly spaced on the sail panels. Also got new side curtains because the holes were in them, lined up exactly with the ones on the sail panels. Tried to get new back curtain but nothing wrong with it. Oh well. All replaced under warranty. I looked at a few on the lot while they were replacing top the 2nd time and a few of the '12s had it, too. Probably tops left over from '11 model run.

Anyone else notice that the 2 doors have hard plastic liners on inside of sail panels while 4 doors don't? Wonder why?

Alpinejku There was a recall on 2010 and 2011 tops. They will inspect and replace if necessary. If they do not replace the entire top,
the fix is a little plastic clip that is installed at the end of each roof bow. I have heard that very few tops have been replaced.

Rabuck I found a small pin hole on the driver side above my door it looked as tho the stitching was pulling on it, I notice when it was sunny and light shined through it

nwbronco The '11s had a recall for the softtops rubbing on the frame. They either placed a shield on the frame or replaced the softtop.

Pin holes in your sorft top

I have a 10' Jk with soft top and noticed two small pin holes by the back door. And one of the frame supports rusted down about an 1/8th inch. Any one have a problem or experience with something similar? At the dealership to see if its covered under warranty. I assume its from prolonged top down and getting moisture
