I had no choice because my wheels were not straight. First attempt set off the ESP light. 2nd was perfect.
With our 2.5 I think that is all you need to do if not done.
Center your steering wheel and look at the jeep from the front. You should be able to tell if the tires are not pointed straight ahead.

Thanks Jay, will look into that. I am having trouble trying to understand what exactly it does since you are adding 2 new holes for it.
I honestly think I have to adjust the steering that people talk about, but dont really want to bother with that lol. I have a few undercarriage Jobs for my Jeep shop here, let them handle an alignment and that stuff too.

|jay-1||Dont know if this will help but I had this same problem. I have a 2011 JKU With a 4.5 inch long arm lift with 35,s and alot of other goodies far from stock would wander all over the place wind or no wind. I first upgraded the steering stabilizer to a fox with the reloction bracket helped a little but did'nt cure it totally next had the alignment checked every thing fine not the problem so I decided to put a EVO sector shaft brace on do to the flexing of the steering box on the frame do to the lift and large tires fixed no more wandering just drove home tonight on the interstate in 30 to 35 mile an hour winds drove perfect havent had a problem since. The fuel mileage in the wind know thats a whole nother story|

When I was shopping for a used Wrangler for about a whole year, in driving many units I was interested in potentially purchasing, I was surprised to find about 1/2 of the lifted ones I drove, to have some degree from mild to severe, steering twitchyness.
A couple were even on the Jeep dealer lot. One 06 Rubi I otherwise really liked, other than the 4" lift, was it wouldn't stay on course driving down the highway. Plus it displayed what I've come to understand from threads here, what was the early stages of "Death Wobble".
My 08 Sahara with 18" stock rims, tracks absolutely straight with none of the issues described above.
Your Wranglers need some kind of repair, it looks like to me.

Jeeps are twitchy on the freeway. It's a combination of the short wheelbase, wide tires and high center of gravity.
That said, have your alignment checked any way. There's a big difference between twitchy and wandering.

My Jeep wanders all the time. I can't tell you how often I drive it and the next thing I know, I've driven somewhere off the beaten path just because I love driving it so much. Yep, my Jeep causes me to wander too...

hi, your jeep will wander until you put 1 or 2 k miles on it, it also depends if u have 17" factory wheels or rubi wheels. give it some time.
it should clear up.

|themoneypit||After my TF lift mine pulled right. I had the alignment checked and the toe on the RF tire was off. Strange that it was just the RF, but rolls straight now.|

It shouldn't wander. Alignment or tires are out of adjustment.

Mine is lifted, didn't do it before. So I should say Mudders should need some further investigation.
I am going to stop by Jeep exclusive shop, and have them make sure everything is good underneath. I am guessing alignment, camber, and steering might be off. I had to slam on brakes really hard for some jackass cutting me off, and the Jeep veered hard right into the other lane, while I pretty much maintained a straight steering wheel. This happened friday, scared me enough to have it taken in tomorrow.

|MudderNuker||This is my fourth Jeep but my first Wrangler. None of the other Jeep vehicles I owned had the problem. The vehicle is stock with the stock 18" wheel and tires. It could be a combination of all of the above.|

|tjt94||It is a common trait of vehicles with wider tires, lots of space underneath, and tight steering. Check the alignment and tire pressure. It may also be attributed to the type of tire you have on the vehicle. Lots of variables. Remember, it is a Jeep, not a car.|

Could be your caster, which is the angle of your steering as viewed from the side. To get it set properly, you'll need front lower adjustable control arms (if caster is indeed your issue). You want your caster to be on the + end of the stock setting, around +5║ or so, depending on your lift.
