Sad Story

I am currently deployed to the Island of Sicily. Noticed a nice looking TJ parked near where I work. Managed to meet the owner a few days later, told him he owned a nice looking Jeep and told him I drive an '10 JK. He then proceeded to tell me a sad story of his woes with this '06 TJ. Has a 4.5" lift, that, while making the Jeep look good, was half-a$$ed. The previous owner had also installed 4.56 gears to replace the 3.73 gears, but didn't know about gear installation apparently, as the rear had to be rebuilt, and he has disconnected the front to prevent further damage. I am all for mods, but man do them right. He is ready to dump the Jeep, which would be a shame, as he is a repeat offender, being a prior YJ owner, I could tell from talking to him, he is a Jeeper at heart.
